Mindfulness for Teens In this session, Patricia Rockman, Lee Freedman, and Allison McLay will use The Mindful Teen Workbook as a springboard to discuss and practice applied mindfulness for teens and for the adults in their world. We will examine how we might look at meeting the current needs of teens given the most recent evidence regarding mindfulness for this population.

The following will be addressed:

  • Making mindfulness accessible for stress management, building compassion, and enhancing resilience
  • Providing multiple modes of practice for mindfulness skill building
  • Using self-inquiry, reflection, and customized mindfulness practices to make it personally relevant
  • How the adults in teens’ lives can assist them to make mindfulness their own
