In this session, Dr. Diplock explores how Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can serve as a powerful framework for pediatric palliative care populations across inpatient and outpatient settings. Attendees will learn more about how ACT’s mindfulness-based tools can help children, youth and young adults with complex medical conditions, and their caregivers, find meaning and presence amid serious illness. Dr. Diplock will share insights into how ACT can foster psychological flexibility and meaningful living during life’s most challenging moments.
Ben Diplock is a New York State licensed Clinical Psychologist on the Pediatric Palliative Care team at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) and an Assistant Professor at The Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.
