Join Sue Hutton, MSW, RSW in a dialogue about her work making mindfulness accessible for neurodiverse populations. We will experience a range of accessible mindfulness practices throughout this session. Sue will share her approach and lead us through practical steps for modifying practices to be inclusive while staying true to traditional teachings. She will talk about research she is working on in mindfulness as it applies to the autism community at the CAMH Azrieli Centre for Neurodevelopmental Disabilities.

Sue has studied with prominent mindfulness teachers globally including Ram Dass, Goenka, Kalu Rinpoche and Sharon Salzberg. She participated in the 7-day professional training in New York State with Jon Kabat-Zinn and facilitates mindfulness in diverse settings including education, healthcare and correction facilities. As a registered social worker, Sue has 30 years of experience working in social work settings with families in complex circumstances, with a focus on accessibility rights and advocacy. Sue’s background in human rights and accessibility work bring a special lens to her mindfulness teaching approach.
